Crosby L-322 alloy swivel eye hooks combine the proven strength of Crosby alloy hooks with a swivel eye that allows the hook to be properly positioned before the load is lifted. The swivel mechanism simplifies rigging setup by allowing the hook to orient itself naturally, while the forged alloy construction delivers dependable performance for overhead lifting applications.
Each hook is forged, quenched and tempered, fully load rated, and incorporates forged-in QUIC-CHECK® deformation and angle indicators to simplify inspections. Unlike true rotating swivel hooks, the L-322 is designed to swivel only during positioning and should not be rotated while supporting a load.
Crosby L-322 alloy swivel eye hooks are commonly used on wire rope slings, chain slings, crane hooks and other overhead lifting assemblies where proper hook orientation is important before the lift. The swivel eye allows the hook to be positioned for efficient rigging, while the hook bowl safely supports the load during lifting. For maximum safety and performance, loads should always be carried in the bowl of the hook, never on the latch, and the swivel should not be rotated while the hook is under load.
